Last Sunday, I spent the day with a few amazing wedding vendors at the Jardin del Sol open house. Check out a few pics of my table and pics from my fellow vendors.

The Jardin del Sol is a gorgeous Snohomish venue, made even more gorgeous by lovely flowers from Laurel’s Floral Decor. Their purple/silver tablescapes had everyone in awe. If you are looking for a planner, take a look at the ladies from Panache Events! They do everything from full planning to day-of coordination. I definitely wished I had a planner help me on my day!

Other vendors there, but not pictured:
Everytime I went over to visit Bugsie Productions I ended up dancing instead of taking a picture.
Distracted by some of the best food ever (try the salmon and the shrimp… YUM!), I didn’t snap of pic of Alexa’s Catering!

Dark skies? Check. Cold weather? Check. Rain? Check. Generally those elements make a great excuse to stay inside, curled up in a blanket. But I learned that they can also be the makings of a great engagement photoshoot. The key ingredient is a go-with-the-flow couple who is up for anything and doesn’t let a little rain stop them. We had a great time exploring a new park in Auburn and then stopping by Starbucks for a hot beverage and some shelter. I am hoping however, that we got all the rain out of our system and that their June wedding with be shower free :)

Here’s a little preview of Jackie and Travis’ lovely February wedding. There were so many little special moments to capture throughout the day, and it was a real joy to share these moments with them. Although the downpour changed our portrait plans a little bit, I think we got some great shots.

I recently attended the Ruffles and Rust Vintage Show in Monroe and I basically fell in love with everything the moment I walked in the door. From vintage home furnishings to homemade treasures, I was in shopping heaven. I ended up finding an awesome old window pane, but I haven’t quite decided what to do with it yet. There were so many inspirations for photo sessions; I can’t wait to incorporate them!

Save the Date for this year’s Snohomish Wedding Tour ~ May 22, 2011. It’s one of my favorite bridal shows because you get to drive around (the gorgeous) Snohomish and visit each venue. Inside each venue are caterers, florists, photographers, planners, etc….. basically every type wedding vendor you need to talk to before your wedding. I know when I was planning my wedding, I spent countless hours researching, calling, and meeting with vendors. This tour is a great way to meet everyone at once!

My favorite photos from weddings generally aren’t the carefully orchestrated portraits, but rather the photos that capture a funny moment, deep emotion, or just the pure excitement of the day. Here are 10 of my favorite moments from last year’s weddings. It was really hard to choose, so I might need to make a part 2 of this post!
